Recreativo Huelva 2-1 Real Zaragoza

HUELVA, December 2 (Primera Liga) - Struggling Recreativo Huelva moved out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Real Zaragoza thanks to Carlos Martins' first-half brace.Diego Milito put the visitors in front but Martins replied twice before half-time to give the home side three points.Martins second goal came after the Portuguese forward had his penalty saved by Zaragoza goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez.Martins tested Cesar in the Zaragoza goal after just three minutes with a 25-yard effort which the keeper held well.Peter Luccin had the visitors' first effort on goal in the 15th minute but the Frenchman's ambitious 35-yard effort went wide.Stefano Sorrentino fumbled Milito's 30-yard effort on 20 minutes, but he did manage to keep the shot out at the second attempt.Zaragoza went in front after 22 minutes when Milito got on the end of Luccin's cross from the left to fire home from six yards.Parity was restored four minutes later, Martins smashing home a powerful 25-yard effort into the bottom corner of the goal.Juanfran Garcia had the opportunity to restore the visitor's lead in the 28th minute but he headed Oscar Gonzalez's corner over the bar from six yards.Luccin blazed wide from 20 yards on 37 minutes while a minute later Florent Sinama Pongolle saw his effort cleared off the line by Javier Paredes at the other end of the pitch.Martins put the home side ahead five minutes before half-time.Paredes brought down Sinama Pongolle in the area, but Cesar managed to save the Portugal international's powerful penalty only for the rebound to fall to Javier Camunas, who squared for Martins who converted at the second time of asking.Zaragoza's Pablo Aimar tried his luck from 35 yards eight minutes after the interval but the Argentinian shot wide.Juanfran forced a good save out of Sorrentino on 62 minutes, the keeper parrying away the former Spain international's 20-yard drive.Aimar then somehow shot wide from six yards in the 76th minute after connecting with Alberto Zapater's cross.Substitute Edwin Congo forced Cesar into a smart save 12 minutes from time with a speculative 35-yard effort.A minute later the Colombian striker should have put the result beyond doubt but he shot wide from six yards.Gabi Fernandez shot wide from long distance three minutes from time as Zaragoza pressed for an equaliser.Andres D'Alessandro's wicked free-kick almost snuck beyond Huelva goalkeeper Sorrentino but he managed to parry the ball away to preserve Recreativo's lead.Zarargoza's fifth defeat on the road this season leaves them floundering in midtable, while Huelva are now just three points behind their opponents in the Primera Liga table.
